<p><b>This Volunteer Placement is Located in: </b>Iringa, Tanzania</p><p><b>Start Date:</b> February 2026</p><p><b>Placement Length:</b> 5 months </p><p><b>Language Requirements:</b> English Level 5-Fluent</p><p><b>Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only</b><br/></p><p><p><b>The Volunteer’s Role</b></p></p><p>As a Communications & Marketing Advisor, you will utilize your communication skills to create promotional content for the SHARE project in Iringa, Tanzania. This initiative empowers Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), particularly supporting women and youth-led businesses, by providing them access to experienced volunteers in management and entrepreneurship. The project also offers a comprehensive incubation program, shared technology for startups, and tailored financial mentorship for expanding SMEs.</p><p><b>As a volunteer, you will:</b></p><li>Assess the current external communications strategies in place.</li><li>Create a communications and marketing plan addressing identified gaps.</li><li>Conduct informal interviews and/or focus groups with project partners, international and national volunteers, as well as local SMEs.</li><li>Identify opportunities for creating local media content (including radio, newspapers, and advertisements) and draft relevant marketing materials.</li><li>Work together with international and national volunteers to deliver learning workshops to TCCIA, TWCC, and SIDO.</li><li>Assist with social media content by collaborating with the T-LED Communications Officer.</li><p><b>Essential Academic Qualifications </b></p><li>Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field</li><p><b>Essential Professional Background/Competencies </b></p><li>A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a communications or marketing position, with a proven track record in developing promotional content in multiple formats (such as written, visual, audio, etc.).</li><li>Proficient in facilitation and training, with hands-on experience in designing and delivering workshops.</li><p><b>What’s in it for YOU?
