<p>We are seeking an experienced <b>Plant Supervisor</b> to lead the day-to-day operations of our CNC machining department. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader who excels in production planning, team development, and driving operational efficiency. You will oversee scheduling, workforce management, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure smooth, safe, and high-quality production.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What You'll Do</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Oversee production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and operational flow.</li><li>Manage workforce planning, including shift assignments, vacation scheduling, and resource allocation.</li><li>Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.</li><li>Track departmental KPIs and implement corrective actions when performance gaps arise.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production Control to support manufacturing needs.</li><li>Maintain employee training programs, including skills matrices and competency development.</li><li>Support onboarding and ongoing development of CNC machinists and production staff.</li><li>Champion continuous improvement, lean initiatives, and process efficiency enhancements.</li><li>Serve as the main point of contact for cross-department coordination and expediting high-priority work.</li><li>Handle administrative tasks such as timekeeping, payroll approvals, and vacation management.</li><li>Foster a positive, engaged, and accountable work environment through coaching and performance management.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Health & Safety Responsibilities</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Promote and uphold compliance with OHSA regulations and all internal safety policies.</li><li>Ensure safe operation of equipment and immediately report unsafe conditions or hazards.</li><li>Maintain a respectful, harassment-free work environment.</li><li>Follow safe work practices, proper material-handling procedures, and required PPE guidelines.</li><li>Participate in safety training, investigations, and corrective actions as needed.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What We're Looking For</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (CNC machining preferred).</li><li>Strong knowledge of production scheduling, workflow management, and machining operations.</li><li>Experience leading teams, coaching employees, and managing training programs.</li><li>Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and workplace safety standards.</li><li>Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze performance metrics and implement operational improvements.</li><li>Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, or NADCAP processes is an asset.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Key Skills</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Ability to operate and understand machine tools and precision measuring devices.</li><li>Proficiency in shop math and machining principles.</li><li>Capability to troubleshoot equipment issues and support timely corrective actions.</li><li>Leadership ability to drive a culture of respect, learning, accountability, and safety.</li></ul><p></p>
