When an entire city needs to be rendered into a 3D model in-flight, utilities buried deep under soil need to be uncovered, highly complex infrastructure projects need to be implemented and even when crime scene investigation needs to be documented – that's Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon. We currently have an opportunity for a Direct Survey Sales Representative. This position would be based in Halifax Regional Municipality and requires travel throughout the Atlantic Provinces. Activities will be focused on maintaining and managing client relationships, networking and developing sales opportunities for Leica Geosystems Survey Group within in the Atlantic Region. 
The position is responsible for representing and selling designated products and services to our Survey customers, meeting targets, and maximizing brand recognition in the assigned territory.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
  • Advise new and existing clients on solutions to their surveying and engineering challenges.
  • Demonstrate use of surveying equipment: Robotic Total Stations, MultiStations, GNSS (UHF Radio and Network RTK), Data Controllers (Captivate) and Processing Software (Infinity).  
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the industry, region, and customer needs.
  • Travel requirement: Territory and account management in Atlantic Canada (NS, NB, NL, PE) 
  • Prepare and submit sales forecasts. Meet or exceed designated sales targets.  
  • Maintain existing client relationships and develop new customers in the region.  
  • Propose, assist and participate in trade shows, conferences and exhibitions.  
  • Provide technical support assistance to clients: escalate to other divisions as needed.  
  • Keep up to date with industry & market trends, competitive brands, and technologies.  
  • Maintain familiarity with features, benefits and unique selling points of Leica products.
  • Establish an understanding of secondary product lines in the Leica geomatics portfolio.  
  • Advise clients of the benefits of calibration and maintenance in our local service center.
  • Advise clients of sales promotions, rental rates, manufacturers' warranties, new products.  
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Degree or diploma from a university or technical college in surveying, or related field.
  • Two to five years' experience in field survey, or technical sales in surveying technology.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience in surveying and related solutions.
  • Strong aptitude for guiding sales by implementing technologies and building relationships.  
  • Familiarity with Leica surveying hardware and software will be considered an advantage.  
  • Excellent technical, communications and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and E-mail.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
