Senior Financial Analyst Employment Type Permanent Location MISSISSAUGA, Ontario Apply SHARE THIS JOB Job Description: Our client specializes in developing, manufacturing, packaging and testing non-sterile liquid and semi-solid pharmaceuticals. They focus on topical products such as creams, gels, lotions etc.Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst is as follows:
Cost Accounting & Analysis:
Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods in SAP.
Conduct variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) to identify cost drivers and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost allocations and inventory valuations. Financial Planning & Reporting:
Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for manufacturing operations.
Prepare monthly financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators and variances.
Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Strategic Business Support:
Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate cost implications of new products, processes, and capital investments.
Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies and margin improvement initiatives.
Assist in the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives and process improvements. Systems & Process Improvement:
Leverage SAP and other financial systems to streamline reporting and analysis processes.
Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and tools for better efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to financial reporting and cost accounting. TMGMS Job Requirements: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation is required. Experience:
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in financial analysis with a strong emphasis on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of analyzing manufacturing costs and driving financial improvements. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP FI/CO modules and advanced Excel functionalities (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems. Key Competencies:
