Senior Project Manager – Regulatory Technology Delivery (Contract)


Location: Hybrid - 4 days onsite (Toronto downtown)


We are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector, for a Senior Project Manager - Regulatory to support the planning, execution, and delivery of a large regulatory program initiative. This individual will manage the full project lifecycle with a strong focus on infrastructure, disaster recovery, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.


This is a 1 year contract role reporting into a senior PMO leader and requires coordination across internal teams and external vendors.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a large-scale regulatory technology project using enterprise project management standards.

  • Manage all phases of project execution: planning, governance setup, scope definition, risk and issue management, financial tracking, and delivery.

  • Drive business and regulatory compliance objectives by managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Establish project management goals and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Coordinate and consolidate plans across work streams and ensure performance metrics are met.

  • Lead schedule and cost forecasting in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Build strong working relationships with sponsors, business/technology leads, and vendor partners.

  • Ensure clear communication and collaboration across all project interfaces.



Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 7–10+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects in banking or financial services industry.

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations.

  • Hands-on experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) or IT resilience programs.

  • Proven success managing highly technical initiatives and working with multiple vendor interfaces.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Experience working in financial services, technology, or cybersecurity environments.

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities with high attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, IT, or Engineering.

  • Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Prince2, Scrum, or SAFe.

  • Experience working in a cross-border or enterprise-level technology environment.
