This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement in quality performance across all project phases.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific Quality Control (QC) plans, procedures, and checklists.</li><li>Coordinate and conduct inspections, audits, and testing of materials, workmanship, and subcontractor performance.</li><li>Review and verify compliance of construction activities with drawings, specifications, codes, and contract requirements.</li><li>Document and track all quality issues, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution.</li><li>Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to address quality concerns and maintain alignment on standards.</li><li>Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, test results, certifications, and quality reports.</li><li>Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to project teams regarding quality processes and best practices.</li><li>Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, recommending corrective measures, and implementing lessons learned.</li><li>Ensure all QA/QC documentation is prepared for project closeout and turnover packages.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (CET designation an asset).</li><li>Minimum 7+ years of experience in quality control/quality assurance in heavy civil infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.</li><li>Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and specifications.</li><li>Experience managing QC programs, conducting inspections, and coordinating with consultants and regulatory agencies.</li><li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.</li><li>Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.</li><li>Familiarity with digital quality management systems and document control software is considered an asset.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What Amico Can Offer You</b></p><ul><li>Competitive Salary</li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Employer Matching Retirement Program</li><li>Life insurance</li></ul><p><br></p><p>At Amico, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
