<p>About Us<br>JOB DESCRIPTION<br>Bedford Ready Mix has been in operation since 1985 and is a proud member of OSCO Concrete. Bedford Ready Mix supplies concrete and pumping services for residential work along with large-scale industrial/commercial projects, making us one of the largest concrete suppliers in the Halifax Regional Municipality. OSCO Concrete operates a large fleet of concrete pumps, including the largest concrete boom pump east of Montreal. In addition to its shared resources with other OSCO Concrete members, the Bedford location also hosts a four-bay repair facility capable of handling the largest OSCO Concrete pumps in the fleet.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Perform service and repairs on concrete pump trucks.</li><li>Travel to job sites for service calls and urgent repair requests.</li><li>Carry out inspections and diagnosis of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on both concrete pump trucks and concrete mixer trucks.</li><li>Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures</li><li>Ensure shop, equipment, and tools are in safe operating condition.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate standards.</li><li>Establish and maintain cooperative, respectful and effective working relationships with other team members and employees.</li><li>Other duties as may be required.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Must be mechanically inclined.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively.</li><li>Flexibility in work schedule. (early mornings, late evenings, weekends)</li><li>Class 5 License required to operate company vehicle when required.</li><li>Experience working on concrete pump trucks and mixer trucks would be an asset.</li><li>Willing to learn, receive training and development.</li><li>Must be a team player.</li></ul><p>As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Bedford Ready Mix offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.
