Creative Lead

Montreal-based | In-house | Full-time


We’re looking for a Creative Lead to own and elevate the visual expression of a design-led, lifestyle-driven brand. This is a hands-on leadership role for a creative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to push boundaries at the intersection of design, architecture, and lifestyle.


This role goes well beyond execution. You’ll help define and evolve the brand’s visual language, lead high-end creative productions, and mentor a small team of designers while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners. If you’re someone who prefers setting trends rather than following them, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful, long-term impact.


What You’ll Do

  • Own and lead the overall creative and visual direction across all brand touchpoints
  • Set and maintain a high bar for art direction, including photography, visual assets, and experiential design
  • Remain deeply involved in design and creative execution while guiding the team. Hands-on design is a must
  • Conceptualize and deliver creative work across catalogues, digital experiences, events, retail or showroom environments, and branded merchandise
  • Direct and oversee high-volume lifestyle photo shoots (approximately 18–20 per year), including pre-production, on-set direction, and post-production review (some travel within Canada and the U.S. required)
  • Collaborate closely with photographers, creative partners, designers, and project managers to bring concepts to life
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a lean design team, fostering collaboration and creative excellence
  • Ensure visual consistency and quality across both customer-facing and internal communications
  • Balance strong creative conviction with business needs by partnering closely with leadership and key stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities while maintaining momentum and craft


Creative Focus

  • Strong eye for editorial design, architecture, interiors, and lifestyle aesthetics
  • Deep experience with lifestyle-driven photography, with a focus on storytelling rather than product-only visuals
  • Confidence communicating creative vision and providing clear direction to photographers and partners
  • Comfortable working across digital, print, environments, and events


What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in a creative leadership, art direction, or senior design role
  • Proven ability to lead creative direction while remaining highly hands-on
  • Experience managing and mentoring designers
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-moving environment
  • High level of resilience, adaptability, curiosity, and drive
  • Ability to juggle multiple brands, projects, and creative priorities at once
  • Comfortable working in a small-to-medium-sized company where versatility is key
