The Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility. Additionally, they will warrant safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees. </p><p></p><p><b><u> Critical Success Factors: </u></b></p><p></p><ul><li> Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and upgrading of industrial electrical equipment in a food processing environment </li><li> Installation, maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and electronic control systems and devices </li><li> Installation and maintenance of communication data systems, emergency stand-by systems, heating, ventilation and climate control systems </li><li> Carry out work orders, apply corrective action and document all maintenance activities </li><li> Read and understand blueprints, drawings and code specifications for layout and installation of electrical equipment </li><li> Make recommendations and promote best practices </li><li> Support health and safety programs </li><li> Other duties as assigned </li></ul><p><b><u> Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate: </u></b></p><p></p><ul><li><b> A valid <em> Alberta Journeyman Certificate of Qualification </em> as an Electrician </b></li><li> A minimum of 2 years related maintenance experience in an industrial plant </li><li> Knowledge of plant and equipment operations </li><li> Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job </li><li> Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills </li><li> Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment </li><li> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills </li><li> Available for weekend overtime as production demands require </li><li> Must have own hand tools </li><li> Additional experience or education and training an asset, i.e. millwright, welding, refrigeration, steam ticket </li></ul><p></p>Create Your Resume First
