<p><b>Job Description:</b> We are hiring a Quality Engineering Technologist to work with one of our clients, a Military Defence manufacturing facility in Ingersoll, ON! In this role. you will provide QA support for disposition of suspect nonconforming material, inspection performed by operators and gauging, maintain quality records and update specific logs of inspection and test results. The successful candidate will work together with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to support production in immediate actions required after a product failure or process non-conformance and drive the corrective action required to ensure immediate restart of production.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Job Location: </b>Ingersoll, ON</p><p><b>Job Type:</b> Full-time, permanent. Day Shift position.</p><p><b>Compensation: </b>$70,000 - $75,000/ annually to start</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of product, process or quality system non-conformance</li><li>Coordinate the segregation of suspect material and ensure the procedure for proper identification of the nonconforming product is followed</li><li>Review inspection activities on production line and take corrective measures when process is not followed</li><li>Work together with Production Supervisor for a proper disposition of nonconforming material</li><li>Maintain records of inspection and process audit</li><li>Participate in 8D investigations, training evaluations and other activities assign by Quality Engineer or Quality Manager</li><li>Perform LPA (Layered Process Audit), Product and Quality System Audits as planned</li><li>Respond immediately to major nonconformities that will require stop-production, sorting and segregation</li><li>Initiate the immediate actions when CAR required and approve restart production after First Off approved</li><li>Work together with the other functions of Quality (Gauge Calibration, Layout, MetLab) in order to support production needs for inspection and testing</li><li>Participate in training and evaluating operators as part of the operator sign off process.</li><li>Perform, train operators and evaluate performance of salt spray testing and results & maintaining records</li><li>Perform XRF checks as required & record results</li><li>Weld Test report review and product release - Note 1</li><li>Other duties assigned</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Requirements/Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Post-Secondary education in Quality Assurance or Certification (CQE, QCA) preferred</li><li><b>3-5 years of related Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing field</b></li><li>Must have knowledge of ISO 9001 Standards; AS9100 preferred</li><li>Must have experience reading and interpreting blueprints</li><li>Must have knowledge and usage of inspection equipment</li><li>Must have knowledge in gauge selection/functionality</li><li>Must have knowledge of Statistical Process Control, FAI requirements and proper equipment calibration procedures</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Desired Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Strong computer literacy skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Apply Today!</b></p><p><br></p><p>Note - AI-assisted tools may be used to help screen, assess or shortlist candidates.
